Taiwanese multinational IT corporation, MSI (Micro-Star International), has reportedly been hacked by the ransomware group, Money Message. MSI, which designs and sells motherboards and graphics cards for customers internationally, has been added to the list of victims on the hackers’ Tor leak site.
The ransomware gang claims to have stolen the source code from the company, as well as private keys, and has published a series of screenshots of the company’s CTMS and ERP databases.
The group has threatened to publish the stolen files if the company does not pay a ransom of $4,000,000 by April 12, 2023.
MSI has not yet commented on the incident. However, the attack could cause significant harm to the company and its customers if the hackers carry out their threat to release the stolen data.
