Professionals lacking five years’ experience shouldn’t count themselves out from obtaining an (ISC)2 certification just yet. The SSCP is a great certification for professionals looking to bring growth to their careers. Unlike the CISSP, the SSCP only requires a minimum of one-year working experience in one or more of the seven domains of the SSCP Common Body of Knowledge (CBK). For professionals with a bachelor’s or master’s degree, that one year experience may be waived. Working to obtain the SSCP certification from (ISC)2 is ideal for professionals in any of the following positions: network security administrator, systems administrator, security analyst, and security administrator.
